Meg Ryan and David Duchovny showed amazing chemistry as they laughed through a talk show interview on Wednesday while promoting their upcoming romantic comedy.
The 61-year-old actress made her debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live in a joint interview with her co-star David, 63, to promote their R-rated movie What Happens Later that Meg also co-wrote and directed.
Jimmy, 55, asked Meg and David how long they've known each other and they couldn't remember if they met each other for the first time in an elevator or at the airport.
'But it was brief, but now we know each other fairly well,' Meg said as she looked over and smiled at David.
'Interesting. Did David make an impression on you in that elevator? Because you remember that,' Jimmy said.

'Have you ever seen me press a button?,' David quipped as Meg laughed.
'You'd remember, too,' Meg said.
Meg explained that What Happens Later follows two people who used to go out together long ago in the 1990s.
'And we get stuck overnight in like a snowstorm. And we have sort of some unresolved issues from 20 years ago, like a hanging chad or two,' Meg said.
'Right. Who's Chad?,' David said as Meg giggled. 'Who is Chad?'
Jimmy asked if they filmed in an actual airport.
'Yeah, and you haven't lived until you've spent all night in an airport - 18 nights in a row,' David said.
Meg revealed they filmed at an airport in northwest Arkansas and also used a museum as well.

'We shot with real passengers coming in and out of the airport,' Meg said.
David noted that they were not allowed to talk to anyone while they were filming because it was illegal to hold up anybody in an airport.
'We'd be shooting, somebody would say, ''That's Meg Ryan.'' I'd be like, ''That's not helpful'',' David said.
Meg said the film takes place in one night, but the whole shoot was about 21 days.
'Meg, you directed the movie. You cowrote the movie and you costar in the movie. I assume you cast David to be in the movie. When that happened, were you honest with him, were you up front? Did you tell him he was going to be in the airport for three weeks?,' Jimmy asked.
'No,' Meg admitted.
David admitted he could have figured it out by looking at the schedule.
'Two or three days into it I was like, oh my god. There's nothing quite as depressing as watching a Cinnabon break down and watch the same person bring it back up eight hours later,' David said.

Meg said they filmed in Bentonville, Arkansas, and Jimmy noted that it's the home of Walmart and asked if they went.
'Yes,' Meg and David answered simultaneously causing them both to erupt in laughter.
Jimmy asked David if Meg was a mean director and if she ever yelled at him.
'It would be funnier to say she was mean to me, but Meg was wonderful and as charming and as giving a director as she is a performer,' David said.
Meg pointed out that only she and David talk in the whole movie.
'Not to turn you off from going to see this movie,' David joked.
'If you don't like us, don't come,' Meg added.
'There's nobody in this movie except us,' David said.
'You are stuck with us,' Meg said.
The director: 'You are stuck with us,' Meg said
What Happens Later is scheduled to be released on November 3 by Bleecker Street.
It was originally scheduled to be released on October 13, but was moved to avoid competition with the Taylor Swift concert film Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour.
What Happens Later is Meg's second feature film as director following her 2015 Ithaca, which also was her last acting role.
The film is based on the 2008 play Shooting Star by Steven Dietz.
